Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport 
Serves both the North Entrance (91 miles) and West Entrance (94 miles)

  • Airport Code: BZN
  • Location: To the north, the Bozeman Airport lies 94 miles from the West Yellowstone Entrance on Highway 191. Or, to use the northern park entrance at Gardiner, journey east from Bozeman to Livingston for 30 miles on Interstate 90 and then south for 61 miles on U.S. 89.

  • Getting to/from the Airport: A number of the local Bozeman hotels offer shuttle service to and from the airport (check with your lodging choice). Car rental companies, located at the airport, include Alamo, Budget, Enterprise, Hertz, and National. Shuttles and taxi services are available from the airport to Bozeman and Big Sky. Xanterra now offers winter daily shuttle service between the airport and Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel.

Billings, Montana Logan International Airport
Northeast Entrance (155 miles) & East Entrance (163 miles)

  • Airport Code: BIL
  • Location: Logan International Airport, Montana's busiest airport in Billings, is 129 miles from Yellowstone's northeast entrance in Cooke City. From Billings, take U.S. 212 south to Red Lodge for 65 miles and then travel 30 miles on the scenic Beartooth Highway.

Jackson Hole, Wyoming Airport
South Entrance (49 miles)

  • Airport Code: JAC
  • Location: Passengers landing at the Jackson Airport, on the edge of Grand Teton National Park, get a stunning view of the Snake River skirting the base of the almost 14,000-foot tall mountains. A 56-mile drive north on U.S. 191/89, through Grand Teton National Park, deposits travelers at Yellowstone's south entrance.

  • Airport Services: There is one restaurant and gift shop in the airport. WiFi is available for a fee.
  • Getting to/from the Airport: Alltrans runs shuttle services for roughly $16 per person one-way into Jackson (reservations required). There are also many taxi companies and other private shuttle services available at the airport. Check with your hotel for possible airport shuttle services. Car rental companies include National, Alamo, Avis, Hertz, Dollar (off-site), and Thrifty (off-site).

Cody, Wyoming Yellowstone Regional Airport
East Entrance (54 miles) & Northeast Entrance (85 miles)

  • Airport Code: COD
  • Location: The airport is about two miles from downtown Cody and 53 miles from the park's east entrance on U.S. 16/14/20.

  • Airport Services: Free WiFi. Full restaurant available.
  • Getting to/from the Airport: Car rental companies, located at the airport, include Budget, Hertz, and Thrifty. Phidippides Shuttle services offers transport from the airport into town for roughly $10 per person.

West Yellowstone, Montana Regional Airport
West Entrance (5 miles - summer only)

  • Airport Code: WYS
  • Location: Travelers wanting the quickest way to the park can fly to Yellowstone via the West Yellowstone Regional Airport in Montana. The airport, open from June through September only, is about a mile north of the park's west entrance on Highway 191.
  • Airlines:
    Delta/SkyWest: Salt Lake City (daily)
  • Airport Services: This airport is located just one mile north of downtown West Yellowstone and is the closest airport to Yellowstone National Park. There is currently no restaurant available at the airport.
  • Getting to/from the Airport: Taxi, shuttle, and car rental services (including Avis, Big Sky Car Rental, and Budget) are available.

Idaho Falls ID (IDA)
South Entrance (147 miles) & West Entrance (110 miles)

  • Airport Code: IDA
  • Location: From Idaho Falls Regional Airport, you can head straight to the park via U.S. 20 north to Yellowstone's west entrance. Or, if you'd like to stop in Jackson, take U.S. 26 east to U.S. Highway 31 for about 90 miles until Jackson, WY. Then, swing north on U.S. 191/89 to drive through Grand Teton National Park to get to Yellowstone.

  • Getting to/from the Airport: Car rental companies, located at the airport, include Avis, Budget, Hertz, National, and Thrifty. The Jackson Hole Express shuttle company offers transportation from Idaho Falls to Jackson, Wyoming. Taxi services are also available.

Flights to the small airports, however, can be pricey. If you want to save a few dollars on a ticket and don't mind renting a car and paying for gas, try flying into Salt Lake City, Utah, about 280 miles from the south entrance.
