Moose Falls

Moose Falls is located just inside the South Entrance of the park. Park in a small turnout and walk a short distance to the top or the bottom of this 30 foot waterfall.

What can I see and do at Moose Falls?

There isn't much more to do here than admire the falls themselves. If it's a hot summer day, you might enjoy a quick dip in the pool below the falls as well. A short trail leads from the parking area to the base of the falls. You can enjoy the falls from above or below the 30 foot drop.

Where are Moose Falls?

Moose Falls are located just north (1.3 miles) of the South Entrance to Yellowstone National Park. You'll cross a small bridge over Crawfish Creek and see a turnout on the east side of the road.

When are Moose Falls accessible?

The South Entrance and Road close in the winter so the falls are only viewable during the late spring, summer, and fall.
