Permits

Unless you’re getting married at Mammoth Chapel, you must apply to Yellowstone National Park Visitor Services Office for a non-refundable, $50 permit two weeks prior to your Yellowstone wedding. The non-denominational Mammoth Chapel requires a reservation and $100 ceremony fee. Contact the Superintendent’s office at (307) 344-2003.

Marriage Licenses

A Wyoming OR Montana marriage license is accepted for a wedding in Yellowstone National Park.

    $30.00
    You do not have to be a Wyoming resident.
    You receive your license immediately and can marry immediately.
    Minimum age required is 18.
    Divorced/Widowed Applicants must provide a copy of the divorce decree or death certificate.

    $53.00
    You do not have to be a Montana resident.
    You receive your license immediately (both parties must be present) and can marry immediately.
    Minimum age required is 18 and blood tests are also required.
