Yellowstone River
The origins of the Yellowstone River lie in Absaroka Mountains of Yellowstone Park. The river flows into the immense Yellowstone Lake. It then heads North, racing through the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. The River exits the Park at the town of Gardiner, Montana, where it becomes open to floating of all types.
While within the park, the only activities allowed on the Yellowstone River are sightseeing and fishing. The Yellowstone River is known throughout the world as a premier trout river, and anglers often fish hoping to catch an elusive Yellowston Cutthroat Trout. Any anglers who seek good fishing in a beautiful enviroment should look no further than the Yellowstone River.
