Rangers head out daily to explore Yellowstone's winter wonderland. Grab some snowshoes for the ranger-led Snowshoe Walks each winter. Don't miss this chance to enjoy Yellowstone while it is still, silent and wintery white.

Overview: The two to three-hour walks depart from both Mammoth's Albright Visitor Center and the West Yellowstone Visitor Center several days a week throughout the winter season. you simply do not want to miss this ranger-led walk into Yellowstone during such a peaceful season. You may just see a fox hunting, a bison dozing or creatures at play.

When: Walks are scheduled during the winter season of mid-December to mid-March. Days and times vary by location.

Where: The Mammoth Albright Visitor Center and the West Yellowstone Visitor Center

Fees: These walks are free. but each participant needs to bring their own snowshoes.

Details: Snowshoes can be rented nearby in either Mammoth or West Yellowstone.  Each tour will last between 2 and 3 hours.  Bring a snack, water, sunscreen and layer your clothes.
